Teira Palmer is thrilled with the opportunity to transfer to Denmark for work. It gives her the chance to spend some time with her grandmother and learn more about her grandfather, who died a traitor to his country. What she doesn't count on is the animosity she feels towards her, almost from the very beginning of her stay, from an unknown source, and her interest towards handsome Christian Tanner. Where will all of this take her?

This is a very low key, suspenseful story - more of a mix between a drama and a mystery than a thriller. Sometimes, very suspenseful stories are just not what one is in the mood for, but a mystery fits the bill. I think that describes this book perfectly. It's an interesting book, full of descriptions of Denmark and the city of Copenhagen. It has given me an interest in visiting - and I can't say that I ever had a desire to travel to Denmark before. I hope others will enjoy this story as well as I did.
